Colt never made a conversion kit for the Commander-length frame. Perhaps some of the other makers, like Ciener, did or do. Without researching it, I cannot say for sure. Someone probably knows and will post a response.
I can say this, just use a Colt kit or any of the other Government Model-length clone kits and live with the gap at the front end of the frame/dust cover. The kit will work fine, but you will see the spring through the gap.0 -
I purchased a Ciener kit for my commander at a gun show a while back. Its called the Platinum Cup and has Millet adjustable rear sight with slanted grooves on the slide. Comes in a nice plastic box with one clip. The spring doesn't show and it looks good on the alloy frame. List price was $250 but I talked him down a bit and don't remember what I actually payed. It works great and is excellent for plinking.

The Full size conversion will fit the commander. ~European American Arms~ has a kit for about $200.oo. The kit comes with about 5 springs, barrel, and magazine ( springs are to match the recoil to the particular round) it may require some minor fitting, but is remarkably accurate (and you don't need an FFL to order it). Oh! It comes with adjustable sights. Quite a Pleasure to Shoot. [:D]
