Does the M-44 Use zip clips or loaded singularly??[?]

  it has an internal box magazine. It takes stripper clips though

  The Mosin-Nagant series of rifles (including the M1944) were designed to use five round stripper clips when used in military service. Open the bolt, place a clip of 5 cartridges in the clip guide-- you will see the cut out for the clip guide in the top rear of the receiver at the bolt face. Now press the 5 rounds from the clip down into the magazine and close the bolt. The clip itself will simply fall out of the guide and drop onto the ground. The rifle is now loaded and ready to fire.
