as far as why the shells you reload will not go into the gun, there is a resizing ring you slip over the shell before you decap it then when you prime the case the ring wil be shoved off, are you doing this. i have one somewhere i used to have the same problem when in reloaded with a lee load all. now with the crimp being messed up there are a number of things this could be
no. 1 are you using the same cases (it does matter)
no.2 the press may not be doumping the right amount of shot each time no.3 is the wad the right one for the cases you are using different cases take different wads.
no.4 there are two pre-crimp stages on my load all (one for a six point crimp and one for ten i think) you need the use the right one for the crimp already on the cases

    hope some of this helps

A mec is far superior to a load-all,but should be for more money spent.
I"ve used a loadall many hundreds of times with good success...and bad.Crimping is a matter of judgement...how hard to push down basically. The nice thing is if it isn't enough, just re-crimp.Can't do that with my monster progressive press, and even it screws up crimps every now and then.
Tell us more.what case, wad, shot wieght, and powder charge are you using. Are you gon by a manual,or just "winging it".?
If you live near a big super store, shotshell reloading offers very minimal savigns over "store bought".Before upgrading loaders ask yourself if it's worth it.
Good luck and hope ya get it worked out.

    give CAS a try,it is a hoot!!
