COLT revolver value and info
I am trying to find some info on a old colt revolver. it has on the right hand side above trigger pat sept 19, 1871 july 2.72 jan 19.75.
On the top of the barrel COLT PT FA MFG CO HARTFORD CT USA on the lh side of the barrel 38 W.C.F. It has rubber grips with the horse in them. The ser number is 187xxx and is matching. any help would be great. Also where is the best place to sell something like this? From what I can find it is a colt SAA but not a bisely model. It is from the late 1800's to early 1900's thanks

How do I upload a picture and I will post one? 0 -
This is a first gen 45LC Colt... a late one, around 1938 production, sn 351XXX. Photos don't do it justice (at least mine don't!). It's about 95% condition and may be unfired.

hey saxonpig did you get the pictures I sent to you to post? 0 -
It looks like the barrel and the grip frame are in much better shape than the frame and cylinder. These may have been replaced or refinished and that would hurt the value to a colloector. Even with newer parts these old guns will bring a lot of money.

This gun is in Canada, what would you have to go through to sell it to someone in the USA?[:)] 0
