BLR Ratchet bolt???

I bought a BLR 81 308 cal. When I eject a shell and the ratchet bolt comes all the way back over the hammer head its really "sloppy"/"loose" when its all the way back. I have a 243 BLR 81 and that bolt is really much tighter/firm when extended all the way back....Can anyone tell me if that would be normal on the 308 or has this gun been fired allot and needs some adjusting or what?

  Wayne -
  There's not much of the bolt still in the receiver when it's clear back, so some slop is normal.
  
  The answer is explained on top of the barrel --- It says "Made in Japan". --- Not snug like my '71 BLR made in Belgium.

  Oh yeah? Does your Belgian have the strength to fire a 300wsm? Apparently, the Ricers do.
  I just saw the BLR 81 advertised in the Rifleman for the first time; do the Belgians even have the ROTARY bolt?
  Only Browning I own is a BAR in 300 Win Mag-couldn't say WHERE it was made, but it's about 30 years old.
