I forgot, I had a CVA 54 cal big bore, it was a real shooter, but I sold it (just another big mistake in my life)[:0]

Before you buy a new one, check out the gunstores for used ones. The inline black powder guns have killed the resale value of the traditional rifles. I have seen some bargins on some of these. I picked up a 50 cal left handed Thompson Center New Englander for a $100 including tax for a shop I frequent. I had watched it set in the rack for about a year and a half. Dealer was happy to clear it out. He still has a half dozen right hand rifles that he can't sell.

I bought my 45 cal. flintlock for $60.00.In a gunshop no less,it sat forever...takes a bit to get used to the flash in your face. But it so soooo traditional!! I really do have fun with it and am looking forward to another, also flint.
