Franchi SPAS-12 safety recall

Trying to locate a new and improved push type safety trigger group assembly due to the mandatory recall on this shotgun.The early lever type was discovered to fire the weapon accidently. This shotgun was recently purchased from owner who had it in storage for many years and was never upgraded. No help from Benelli who took over selling these safety upgrade kits from Franchi in Italy. With the chance this early defective safety could cause serious injury/death seems like the manufacturing company would be eager to cooperate with replacement safety parts.

  Good luck finding a new safety. Could be tough given that these are no longer imported. But .... maybe check out spas12.com. Maybe you can find a source from there.

  Check out spas12.com . There is a section on the safety. Someone had 3 for sale last month ( $145 ) .

  Contacted Chris at spas.com and he said he was out of them. I've been calling around the country for the last two days and no luck yet. Thanks for your input.
