Tip for owners or future owners of Savage 93/17's

The bases that come on these guns are very thin. If you want to mount a higher power, bigger diameter objective scope you will think you need to buy high or super high ring. No problem! Get yourself a pair of Weaver #45 bases and you can mount some bigger scopes without having to buy another set of rings! It works super with a Weaver V16 and high Weaver rings and may have worked with mediums. The bases supplied won't work with Weaver medium rings and a 38mm objective! Try it! $6.00 instead of 20.00!!
