S&W 10mm pistol
My father-in-law has a S&W 10mm pistol. I am looking to purchase one for myself. However, they are no longer available new. I saw a model 1006 on auction but it did not look like his model. I think that is model is 5906 but i could be mistaken. Does S&W make the 10mm in the 5906 model?? And if so about how much do they run on auctions for one in excellent condition?

Far as I know, S & W made the 10mm in the following (5) models only. 1006, 1066, 1076, 1086 & 1026. Don't believe any are still in production. 0 -
I have a NIB S&W Model 1076 10mm Auto. It has a 4 1/4" barrel, fixed Novak 3 dot sights, 2 factory mags and all accessories. $700 shipped to your FFL. If interested let me know, I may have a few extra mags to go with it. I have to find them and will let you have them for my cost.

The 5906 is 9mm only. The only 10mm's are the 10xx's that were listed by rufe-snow. I just bought a 1076 a while back, and like it best of all. I really like the frame mounted decocker on it.
On Smith auto's, 10xx's ar 10mm, 59xx's are 9mm, 45xx's are .45 ACP, and 40xx's are .40 S&W.
Measure twice, cut once.
Empty the clip!

I have a 1076 and no matter what the "magazine critics" have said about the 10mm in the past - in my opinion its a great gun and caliber. I hope to reload 50 or so cartridges this weekend- haven't shot any reloads as yet. Absolutely no jam-ups with the commerical ammo I've shot.
They're not made anymore but I was was lucky and stumbled on a dealer who was reducing his stock and bought it NIB for a little less than $400.
I hope you find the model you're looking for - I think the 1076 is the most prevalent and easiest to obtain.
