Winchester high wall Can anyone tell me the difference between the thin side and thick side

  As far as I know, the thin wall is the same receiver but with a section on each side milled off, leaving a small raised section at the front and rear of the receiver, thus the "thin side". Maybe someone more knowledgeable can elaborate. Emery
