223 ammo
Just received a call from an Ohio distributor informing me that the 223 ammo is sold out and that the manufacturers are advising there will none available as all production will go for the military. Interesting.

what is twist rate on ruger 77 mk 2 in 223 caliber ?
what grain ammo shoots best in this light rifle .. thanks for help0 -
You can measure it yourself with a cleaning rod, jag w/patch, and a marker, like a Sharpie. Mark the rod, so that you know when it has made one full turn, as you push it down the bore. Then measure the rod from where you started to finished, that is it. I am going to guess it has a 1/12. In that case it should shoot 40 to 55 grainers with no problem. Some manufacturers make a 60-63gr. semi-point (because length is more of a facter than weight) that should shoot in the slower twist barrels. 0 -
My Ruger M77 MkII V/T in .223 has a 1:10 twist. Shoots the 50-52 grain bullets quite well.
Keep off the Ridgeline0
