BSA-Ithaca rifle

Recently I ran across a rifle in a pawn shop that was marked BSA-Ithaca. I can not find anything about such a rifle in any reference book I have run across. It was definitely not made by Tikka. Does anybody know anything about this?

  Dug around in my references, information is kind of spotty. Apparently after the importation of the Tikka rifles from Finland ceased (circa late 1970's), rifles were imported from BSA in England and sold under the Ithaca name.
  During this same time frame Ithaca was having financial problems and going through a business reorganization.
  In any case the sale of BSA rifles under the Ithaca name only lasted through the mid 80's at most.

  What reference book did you find this in? Blue Book of Gun Values does not list it nor does the Standard Catalog of Firearms.

  I'm wondering if by chance you didn't "Misread" and what you were looking at is indeed an "LSA".
  I got one of the several I own out of the safe and on left side of receiver you'll read LSA and on barrel Ithaca.
  These superb rifles were made by Tikka of Finland from 1969 to 1977.
  I have them in each of the 3 models produced.
  Standard, Deluxe and Heavy Barrel.
  Don't miss a chance to acquire one, if this is "in fact" what you're looking at.

  Not to be doubting you Spring Creek, but the reference in "RIFLES OF THE WORLD" is quite specific.
  Walter, states that "The Ithaca Gun Company is best known as a principal U.S. distributor for Tikka and BSA rifles".

  I'm pretty sure that rufe-snow is right; this rifle was made in England. I sure would like to buy a Tikka-Ithaca LSA 55 or 65. One was up for bid on GunBroker a couple of months ago, and I bid on it, but this thing sold for much more than the Blue Book value. Maybe some day I'll get lucky.

  I too, presumed what you stated and RS said was fact.
  Just thought I'd throw the LSA 55/65 Tikka thing out.
  They are neat and "very" high quality.
  My interests are "taking" me in "other" directions.
  I would "entertain" the idea of parting with one, two or three of the LSA 55's (all 22-250's) in my collection.
  Standard, De-Luxe and Target Heavy Barrel.
