Enfield trigger pull

I have one of the Ishapore .308's but its been a couple years since I shot it. I can't recall how heavy the trigger pull is nor what the sear/hammer parts look like. One thing you may want to do is get yourself replacement/spare spring for the extractor. Its a small "V" shaped spring between the bolt body and extractor. Mine broke two or three years ago and its been on the rack ever since. I didn't shoot it very often before that so it hasn't been a big priority to find a replacement. Thought I'd let you know, for what its worth...

I don't remember the names of them but there are a couple good Enfield web pages out there.

Thanks for the info about the bolt, and the extacter. So far I have'nt had any ptoblems that way. I bought the rifle from a friend of mine and was with him when he picked it up from the dealer a few years ago. Iknow the dealer and he ordered it from a distibuter. I know the rifle has had at least 500 rounds though it since then.
the 1st thing we did to it when he got it was disassymble it and clean all the black enamel paint of the metal parts. Theres some nice blueing on the metal. I really don't understand the reasoning behind the paint.

Try .303British.com they link up to some good tune up articles on the SMLE. I have a No I Mk III in .303. It shoots great. Let us know.

The paint is a cheaper and faster way of protecting the steel than bluing during the aresenal refinish your rifle likely went through. If you have removed the paint(it's not enamel. It's a special coating developed especially for firearms) you have removed a layer of protection. Take the trip to 303british.com and by the book.
