Ummmm don't push the casing all the way in when loading?
Seriously I don't know, but it could be that when you push it in all the way the "ejecter sear" might not get cocked, turning it into a extractor only.

Pa, after a bit of research I found this in the MFG's forum
    http://www.hr1871.com/cgi-bin/ubb/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic;f=2;t=000535#000000

(look down near the bottom of the thread)

appearantly the consensus is because of the rim design of the cartridge, I guess you could call it a design flaw in the firearm that they never bothered to correct.

I would check to see if there is excess grease under the ejector. Sounds like the ejector is not hoo

Sorry but the */*# cat jumped on the key board! As I was saying it sounds as though the ejector is not hooking properly on the rim of the case. I ahven't torn one down to see what the ejector is like but I would imange that like other ejector assemblies, too much greas and oil could keep it from putting enough pressure on the rim to hook properly. I have found that to be true in those 22 training rifles packed with cosmoline. Spray the ejector and housing with a good degreaser then try it. If all else fails contact NEF since it is new! Their service is good.

Most complaints in the nef forum have been cured by polishing the chamber, I will give this and all your suggestions a try and see what happens! Thanks

I had a 243HB that would do this wil handloads but not factory ammo. I polished the chamber really nicely and that seemed to cure the problem. If you look real closely there are a lot of tool mark inside the chamber. The ejector was designed for a shotgun which operates at much lower pressure, and the shells spring back to their origional shape for the most part. when you quadruple the pressure the casings don't keep their elasticity so well. good luck

Pa, my buddy got one for his boy. It was the 22lr with extra 410 barrel. The 22 ejected fine but the 410 would not. It would eject the slower velocity brands fine, not the super speeds. A good cleaning and some light polishing hepled a bunch.
