AR-15 (SP1 lower with bushmaster 11.5" upper)

I have an AR-15 with a Brugger and Thromet mount and want a telescopic sight to replace my Aimpoint comp ML2 for deer season. What scope would you prefer...Trijicon ACOG 4x or their accupoint 3-9x40. Or does anyone have any other suggestions. PS- my shooting lanes are no longer than 175 yards. Thanks for any suggestions.

  Sorry, yes 5.5" inset flash hider for a total barrel length of 16 inches.

  I realy don't want to rain on your picnik but get a deer rifle. A .223 w/11.5" of rifleing isn't one. Yes i know it will kill a deer, hell up here in Wis. the .22 l.r. has killed more deer than the .30/30 and .30/06 put together. But thats at a standing, well lighted target.

  Yeah, Yeah I know. But I had to tell my wife that I needed a new rifle so I could buy this one. I shoot a Remington .270 normally. I really liked this rifle (AR-15) and most of my shots are only 50-75 yards from up in my condo stand here in SC where we can bait-em-up!!!

  To answer your question. With the range you are talking about the 4 power scope will work best. Just me 2 cents [8D]
