Light or heavy

I am going to buy another barrel for my Ar-15. I can not decide if i should buy the lightweight or heavy in a 16" C.A.R. I will do some rapid firing sometimes. Which one will keep the heat down. Any opinions or expirence would be much appreciated.[:)]

  Heavy, but in a whole barrel, not that pistol barrel.
