Colt Target Model 22 Grips

I have a semi-auto Colt Target Model with a synthetic one-piece grip. The grip includes the trigger guard, thus after-market grips (seemingly) aren't readily available. Is there a solution that would provide me with a more customizable grip for this pistol? I have fairly small hands so a sleeve won't be of much help.

  Is this the pistol some called the "Cadet" or perhaps known as
  the Colt .22? Perhaps you could sand the original configuration,
  add body filler, whatever to acheive a better hold. 101
