Generally it should be OK, but you really should check the headspace to make sure. What brand of barrel is it? Olympic barrels (not the ones installed on uppers)are not headspaced, each one is done with the bolt to be used with it. Barrels I've bought (from eagle & bushmaster)in the past are usually GI head spaced (no go gauge), a colt M4 upper I've got is headspaced for the go gauge, if a field gauge fits or the go gauge doesn't fit this is trouble waiting to happen. If you plan to be working on AR's in the future you should buy some gauges. You will need three gauges, go, no go & field. If barrel you plan to use is on another upper use the bolt that came with it and you should be fine.

Would be a good idea to check with model1sales to see how there barrels are sold. If you post this over at ar15.com someone there probably has used these barrels.

artvls gave u good advice. the "go-no go" guages are a cheap investment and you should have them on hand. if u are unsure of any weapon alterations, call the manufacturer(it may void your warranty), check, re-check, and make sure it is safe and within the guns workable limits.

The make of the barrel has nothing whatever to do with head space. If you change a barrel, you must do it properly and part of that is checking the head space.
