Remington Rolling Block calibers
In the auction listings I see several rolling block military rifles in 43 Spanish caliber. These are listed in the $500-$550 range.
A few weeks back I saw a military rolling block in a pawn shop. They were asking $259 and the person told me the caliber was 43 Egyptian.
Are these the same caliber?. Thanks in advance for any help.

43Spanish Rem. is not the same as 43Egypition or the 43Mauser or the 43Turkish.
43Spanish Rem. (11.15mm Spanish Rem) .439 bullet, 2.25" case
43Mauser (11.15mm Mauser) .446 bullet, 2.37" case
43Turkish (11.43Turkish) .447 bullet, 2.30" case
43Egypitian (11.43mm Egypitian) .448 bullet, 1.94" case
Some guys like a mag full of lead, I still prefer one round to the head.0 -
Tailgunner 1954 has it right. The only exception that I would make is that my 11.43X50R Egyptian rifle has a groove diameter of .451. When you ask what calibers were chambered in the Remington Rolling Block, it is easier to ask what cartridges were NOT chambered in the Rolling Block. 0
