Help with a Marlin 336
Neighbor brought me his Marlin 336 today. He's owned it for years and kept the bore and outside clean and oiled but the inside is another matter. How hard is it to disassemble the action? Actually, I should ask is how hard is re-assembly after cleaning? Can anyone here walk me through what it takes or tell me where I can get the info? Never worked on a lever gun before this...

Sealyon;
Full instructions and exploded views are in the NRA firearms assembly/dis-assembly manual #2. The 336 is not a diffacult rifle to
take apart or put back together, however, there are a few points in the process that must be followed to prevent binding or bent parts.
The manuals are available from the NRA, not sure about current price, or you might check you;re local book store, I was told Barnes and Noble now has them.0 -
Thanks Python. I'll be on the horn to Barnes and Noble in the morning..........
