I just came into the possession of a Tower 1856 rifle, and I am interested in finding out as much information about this weapon as I can. It is from Afghanistan, and I purchased it at a local Bazzar. Any assistance is greatly appreciated.

It seems to me that we covered this topic before and the answer may still be in the archives. If I remmber correctly, we could not determine if these rifle-muskets comming out of Afghanistan are genuine or have been made up in Afghanistan for the "tourist trade". You have to remember that these people are very good at making any kind of firearm by hand. Now, having said that, you need to provide a lot more information on your rifle-musket before any of us can make an educated guess as to what you have. 0
