S&W Pellet Pistol?

I have a S&W Model 79G .177 Cal. Pellet pistol. My Dad found it at a garage sale and gave it to me. It is still in the original box, but does not have any paperwork. I want to know if it's worth anything and if anybody knows anything about it. It is CO2 powered and has target sight. On the right side of the slide is stamped,"Smith & Wesson Air Gun Division, Springfield, Mass, USA." It's in good shape and I can furnish a picture if that would help. It has been in my closet for about 5 years and I would really like to know something about it. Thanks for reading and any help will be appreciated

  These were made during the 70s for S&W in .177 & .22. They were intended to provide a way to practice firing the S&W M41 auto indoors. While close in size & weight, trigger pull & function were not even close. The seals go bad, so you may want to check it for function. We don't know which company actually made them for S&W.
  
  I would expect it to sell in the $100-150 range.

  Gunman is right... check it out. Saw one on GB this last fall, It had everything with it, And if I remember it right, it sold for $178.00 [:)]

  I have one in .22. The barrel is rifled and the trigger adjustable.
  They were made by Daisy for S&W and o ring kits are still available.
  I have seen them them sell on GB near NIB for $200 +. I paid $29.95 for mine in the 70's
  
  FYI don't use WD-40, Hoppes #9 or oil to clean it. They will eat up the o-rings. Buy a can of silcone spray to clean it.
