glock 27

I have a Glock 27 .40 that I have had for about ten years. I haven't shot a box of shells through it yet. I have it for protection only and not for shooting on the range but when should I have to worry about KB. Reading on this fourm it's happens a lot with .40 Glocks but is it after shooting a bunch of loads and not cleaning or what? Thanks for your help.

  I just bought a glock 27 40 cal and would like to know if any of you guys know how to install night sights on this pistol. I have successfully installed them on 2 kahrs.
  Also, wheres the best deal to buy them

  Meprolite probably makes the best sight for the money. They are available all over the 'net and many gun shops. In my opinion, Trijicon's are the best money can buy...
  
  P.S. Most of the aftermarket sights I've purchased (including the ones for my G20) have the instructions inside. If memory serves, they even come with a little tool that is required for the front sight on the Glocks.

  The front sight if it doesn't come with a tool, all it is, is a gound down six point socket. And don't forget to use Locktite on the threads.
  
  The rear site is dovetailed in, so you need to slide the old one out.
  
  Here's the trick bag, They make a tool for installing the rear site but it cost almost the same as the sites themselves.
  
  If your good, you might be able to use a c-clamp jury rigged somehow.
  Just a word of caution, Be careful those vial tubes in there are fragile as far as hammering for drifting them in.
  
  I did a search on Gunbroker and could'nt find any site tools for glocks, I'm not plugging for these sites, this is just for a picture idea.

  If you have a gunsmith nearby stop in with the gun and see if you can't borrow his glock sight tool. That would be the easiest way.

  I've swapped the sights on a couple of glocks that I own. I just took it to the gun shop where I purchased the sights and they installed them at no charge...maybe a little sweet talking and a cup of coffee will get them to do it for free.

  thanks for the answers. I am not sure I am going to keep the glock. my kahr is actually a little smaller and with the extra rounds the glock is going to weigh at least the same. I will know better after I shoot it and carry it awhile. anyway, thank.
  ps. does anybody know what a troll is?
