MAZ PRESSURES FOR H&R,1871 RIFLES

howdy everbody, i have a question. do any of the experts out there know the max chamber pressures for the H&R, 1871 handi rifle, or ultra series single shot rifles? i heard they were at 50,00cup. can anyone verify or debunk this? thanks

Aren't they chambered for the 270 Win or 30-06. Those are 50,000 CUP or greater cartridges.

i apologize for my mental error, that is i did not specify that i am wondering about the 450 marlin. but, i am thinking they are high pressure rifles, that being all calibers. thanks for your reply. i think we are on the right track.[8D]

The 450 Marlin is only a 43,000 PSI or there abouts cartridge. That would make it about a 40,000 to 45,000 or so CUP cartridge.

thank you for that info. i had been looking at my load data and found that same thing to be true. i am thinking about buying a h&R,1871 ultra in 450 marlin. i wanted to make sure it would handle my ramped up loads, as i now believe it will. what do you think of the h&r1871 rifles in the handi or ultra?[:D]
