Ruger PC9's in California?
Can anyone explain why a Ruger PC9 is not allowed in California?
It's a ten shot 9mm rifle.

Nitro, As far as I knew these were perfectly legal here since they do not conform to any of the states three assault weapons catagorys: They are not a "named" firearm, they are not basically identical to the "named" firearms, and they have only one banned feature- the detachable magazine...and you are allowed JUST ONE. Have you been having a problem locating one for sale in your area?

Yes Mark, the local dealer won't sell them, Do you have any in stock? 0 -
Sorry to leave you hanging Nitro, but I had to log off early last night. I don't handle any Ruger's and I no longer do retail sales- you can thank the ever increasing gun laws in California for that. There should be plenty of dealers in the No. Cal area (where I believe you are stationed) who'd have these Ruger's available. If you can't locate anyone, try calling the Dealer Warehouse in Modesto at 209-545-2528. If they don't stock them I'll bet they know a dealer in your area who does.

Thanks Mark,
I'll be giving them a call tomorrow after I check with one more firearm dealer nearby.0
