What does CCW stand for?
If it's Concealed Carry Weapon, or Carry Concealed Weapon, that's not grammatically correct. Shouldn't it be called a CWP or CWL (concealed weapons permit/license?)
thanks
I would rather be held by 3 skinny cheerleaders, than carried by 6, judged by 12, what ever else you guys say.

It is a Carrying Concealed Weapon permit. I haven't seen a regular one in several years. However my retired sheriff's department ID just has "CCW authorized" on the back.

In my experience, the term is most often used to identify the crime of "Carrying Concealed Weapon," and is sometimes used to identify a permit to carry as in "CCW permit." 0 -
It is also a MIL STANDARD abbreviation of "counter clockwise." You see it on potentiometers in old electronics gear.
Now there's a piece of trivia for ya.
