300 Shebal?
A friend gave me a set of RCBS dies in 300 Shebal. Anyone ever heard of it?

Wow! You use the term "friend" loosely.
RCBS will cut/ream dies to customer specs, so it very well may be a slightly altered 300 whisper or 30 caliber magnum.
If you are really curious take it to a gunsmith or get a D-I-Y kit of Cerro-safe. You can then cast the inside dimensions and compare them with known chamberings.

I think it is a reamed out .300 H&H. My 308 Norma disappears down the hole. I may try re-sizing something like a .300 Weatherby, after annealing it should be fairly soft.
In the 50's and 60's, there was a local gunsmith,guide, and aerial wolf hunter named LeRoy Shebal. I suspect he reamed out a 300 H&H, and had RCBS make a set of custom dies. There is probably only one rifle chambered for this caliber. I would like to find it. I would either buy it or give the dies to it's owner.
I just threw it out for discussion to see if it was as rare as I thought it to be.
