Kel-Tec SU-16: Thoughts?

Are these rifles available yet? Just started noticing there ads and wasn't sure if they were on the market yet or not....

  Far as I know, they havn't hit the street yet. Their's been a lot of speculation about George Kelgren's new .223 baby on the KTOG site, nobody got their hands on one though.
  For my money, that combination bipod/forearm is just a gimmick.
  Kelgren better design some kind of shield for the barrel when the bipod is deployed. He going to be up to his neck in lawsuits, from the dummies who will run a couple of quick 30 rounders through it, then grab the barrel. OUCH!

  I looked at one at the SHOT Show and it looks good. My disappointment with the design is that the magazine cannot be left in when the gun is folded, unlike the Sub-9/2000. With the Sub-9/2000, one can leave a loaded magazine in with the bolt locked back and by merely opening the gun and releasing the bolt, the gun is charged and ready to fire.
  
  I see no big problem with the bipod, but it seemed flimsy to me, and difficult to deploy. Unlike ruf-snow, I see no great quantity of lawsuits from burned fingers. Using that theory, any firearm with an exposed barrel would subject the designer to multiple damage suits for burns from a hot barrel, and that does occur.

  It looks cool, but I think it might get put on the banned list in california cause its based on the AR-15 action.. We shall see..

  I've have been patiently waiting for a gun magazine to review this rifle, so far they haven't. I am curious as well to learn a little more about it.

  Talked to a dealer at the gun show today that claimed to have shot one a week ago. Said they were really light, shot well and had good handling. He's getting impatient for them to ship, he gets a lot of questions about them. Each time he calls, it's always "next month".
  
  Got a new gun for my ex-wife.....pretty good trade, huh?
