    I suppose AE means Action Express? As in 41AE mag or 50AE mag?

    why chase the game when the bullet can get em from here?....

    I think that the firearm you are referring to is the Accuracy International AE. The AE being the AI chassis system for use with the customized Remington 700's. The only version that I have shot is the one set up for .308 Winchester. The ammunition used during that demo was Federal Gold Medal Match which performed quite accurately. But the AI site also has a link for RUAG ammunition which as I understand, is a terrific target ammunition. I would not discount the use of Norma's target .308 either but I have no personal experience with it.

    As to information about "long range shooting" with one, I would probably visit one of the other forums that specializes in long range. The demonstration shooting that I had the opportunity of participating in started at 100 metres and ended at 400 metres. I was able to hold 5 shots in 3/8" at 100 from a bench and we shot poppers at 400 for which I went 5 for 5 from prone.

    That's the best I can do right now.

    Accuracy Int'l makes some of the most robust, durable, inherently accurate platforms in the world. Are you thinking about buying the AE;
    or do you already have one?
    Black Hills makes some very good ammo, as do Federal, Lapua, Remington & RWS/Eley.
    As far as shooting stories and anecdotes; try Soldier of Fortune on the web, and look for stories about the A.I.
    Robar Arms also makes some nice stuff.

    Hi,

    thanks for the responce.

    I am refering to the AE series of Accuracy International which only comes in .308.
    I have recently bought one and want to make a good start with it and use the dead right accurate ammo for it.
