5.45 X 39 AR Upper worth &clips

I have the chance to buy an AR complete upper in 5.45 X 39 caliber for $350. The upper is almost new and was ordered from Colt. Is it worth it for one and second will my standard 5.56 magazines work with the 5.45 round? If the mags will not work where would I find them and what would they cost? How is the 5.45 round in general? The upper looks new but I was told it had been shot around 100 times. Please give me any ideas on this item. All opinions will be greatly appreciated.

  Your AR mags should work since the 5.45X39 is very similar to our 5.56 nato round. The bullet is slightly smaller, and the case is a little shorter but still close enough that it should work.
  
  I have an AK in 5.56 and it uses the soviet 5.45X39 mags.
  
  If the upper has only 100 rnds thru it I would'nt worry about it. Thats enough to just start breaking it in.

  That's a great price for the Colt upper --- especially if it comes with a bolt & bolt carrier. Easily worth $500 +.
