Pennslyvania Deer Slayer

My Dad recently gave me a 12 gauge shotgun that he says is a Smith & Wesson "Pennslyvania Deer Slayer". I have tried to look this up on the internet and cannot find anything about this weapon. Is there anyone that knows anything about it?

  is ther any indication of it being a "commemerative" model?. i have no record/program that indicates what you have stated.

  S&W shotguns where made by Howa Machinery, Ltd, Japan you may want to try looking under that name

  I dont believe it is a commemerative. It doesnt have any special markings or anything like that. It looks like a riot gun, holding (8)2 3/4" shells, iron sights. It makes a perfect slug gun for lower Michigan.
