Slight difference in the mag catch between the pistols, although they are all three basically the same gun. You may need to modify the magazine slightly to allow the mag catch to lock it in place.

Nunn..... It sounds like gunsmith is right. I have a Colt JR. 25 I bought around 1970. I have seen the FIE pistols, and they seem to be identical.
It sounds like all you need to do is raise the top edge of the cut-out in the mag where the mag catch snaps in, but do it a little at a time. You can remove the spring and follower and use a small file.

    Hi Nunn:

I think the Browning Baby was made in Belgium, and the Colt Jr. was originally built by Colt for US (North American? South American?) sales. Later Colt had them made by Astra, and I think Astra imported their own version too at some point. And there were a bunch of copies made by others as well, many of dubious quality.

Could be wrong, but that is my recollection. Neatguns would know about these little guns, and he is a magazine guy too. Drop him a line, I'm sure he would be glad to help.

The Browning Baby is a completely different firearm. The Browning mag has a heel catch, the guns we are talking about have a push-button catch at the lower rear corner of the grip.
