Lyman sight

I bought a box of odd gun parts at a public auction. Amoung the parts is a Lyman receiver sight marked 48WH, also has 035 marked on it. Where can I find out what gun this will fit?

  I have a lyman sight with a A on the underside. I found it was a No.2 Combination Tang Third Variation but I could not find out what gun it would fit.

  According to my "Old Gunsights" book by Nick Stroebet the Lyman receiver sight 48WH is for a Winchester Model 70 Heavy Barrel, National Match, and Bull Barrel As for the 035 mark,I don't know".

  035 is probably the apeture diameter.

  The 035 is the assemby number. The slide, base and push lock should all be numbered the same. These were hand fit and when blued, they needed to be reassambled with the matching numbers.
