My next shotgun will be an o/u Baikal. I have a good friend that has one and likes it alot. Make sure you get auto ejectors though.

I have a 20 ga o/u and like it a lot. Has all the bells and whistles as the high dollar shotguns, fit and finish not bad. Inside it is full of stamped out parts with very rough looking machining, visible when the action is open as for loading. The cheap looking insides seem to be properly fitted and heat treated to do their job. The Russians have a rep of making things only as good as they need to be to do their job. Example the AK. I think this shotgun is a very good value or bang for the buck. I have one of the Russian .410 automatic shotguns that I like also. Only difference in what I said about the 20 ga is the .410 is 'military' outside too. Logical since it is a 'civilianzed' version of the AK47 design.

Thanks for the info. I see that these 20ga o/u's listed on this site say "selectable ejectors". Do you know if this is the auto ejectors you mention?

Sorry for slow reply. I believe that is the same thing. The thing to watch out for is that on some less expensive o/u's have extractors instead of ejectors. I guess it depends on what you want to do. Maybe the extractors may make it easier to collect your spent shells for reloading. I'm not sure.

By the way welcome to the board.

I have one of their single barrel 12 gauges and am very pleased. Ejector can be set to throw them out or just ease them back.
