Can any one tell me about this weapon? What are the + and - ? Thanks for any info.

  I own a S&W .40V and I have shot maybe 300-500 RDS through it with out a hicup.The .40 is not the most accurate cartridge on the market,but IMHO one of the best.My gun shoots consistent 3 inch groups at 25 yrds when Im shooting my best.I say for the money its a real value.HTH Good Luck!

  if you do a post search you will find a lot of info on this piece in previous discussions. Most of the reviews are in the negative. I've shot about the same amt. as Rugstwer through a used one I picked up at a good price; and havent had a problem at all. It (SW40V) handles the .40 well. Accuracy like what Rugster said! The only thing I dont like much is the somewhat gritty trigger pull.

  Its not a bad gun. It has a whole lot of critics, but in all actuality its not a bad gun. There are better guns out there, but the sigma is perfectly duty capable.

  The Sigma has been maligned because the early ones were not as good as the Glock. (Few guns are by the standards by which the Glock is measured.) Later Sigmas are much improved, and are as good as or better than most guns. Few guns compare to the Glock for durability and reliability, although Sigmas do not seem to blow up like Glocks do.
  
  To me, the grip shape on the Sigma is the best as there is. It is the finest pointing pistol there is for me. I much prefer the Sigma to the Glock for shooting. I have an early 9x19 and .40S&W Sigma and both have been totally reliable, although my round count through either one is not high. I do not like to carry or keep as a house gun any pistol without an active safety so Sigmas and Glocks are just shooters for me.
  
  The current price on new Sigmas is very attractive and high capacity magazines are priced less than Glock high capacity magazines. You will not be disappointed in a newer Sigma.

  They always say hindsight is 20/20. The Sigma was not a bad gun. It goes bang when you pull the trigger. Mine never once failed me. I didn't shoot it as much as I do my Glock that I traded it for. Bottom line as I see it on the Sigma series (I had a 40VE) It's too big for carry, highcaps are hard to find in a reasonable price range. Would I feel comfortable with it in my nightstand if it's all I had? Yes.

  I have owned two of these over the last couple years, and they both would not feed. Both of mine were the SW40VE variety. I bought one new, and the other barely used.They would both fail to chamber rounds periodically. I tried several different magazines in both, with no luck. They are very good pointers, with excellent ergonomics.I just don't trust them.
