Rossi .45 LC '92 lever action value/evaluations
Folks, can some of you help me with a market value? Rossi '92 Winchester copy, all blue, 24" brl, older style without the new style safety, nice walnut stock. Gun is sold as used, but with the box, papers etc. Dealer says he sold it and a Uberti Regulator and a box of 45 LC to a regular customer. Guy traded it back in a couple of months later on a Bushy, and said he put only the one box of ammo through both guns. They look like he was telling the truth, like new. I already horse traded for the Regulator; but what is the Rossi worth?

I bought a similiar one last year at a gun show for two hundred fifty.It was pre-safety,and had the 24" barrel.No saddle ring,curved buttplate.
I had a time getting to not eject live rounds,but shimming the guide rails fixed it real easy.
Nice guns,and with a spring kit the smoothe up considerabel...as they do with usa.

Thanks for the input Throckmorton. I have checked the GB listings but most are new guns. I decided to sell my 5.5" brl SAA type and go with the shorter barrel, and the Regulator also had my preferred finish, blue brl, case receiver, brass grip. I would really rather have a '92 with a case receiver, but if I can make a good deal I am more concerned with how it will hold up since I expect to put a few rounds through it, it will be shooter.
Anyone else buy one of these recently, or have something good or bad to report? Anyone put enough rounds through one to comment on durability?

The Rossi's seem to "hold up" just fine in cas,the do take some breaking in and spring replacememtn,but springs don't cost much....it's putting the danged thing back together that takes a commitee!! 
Quite a few of the cowboy shooters in Orygun use em.I like the lightness of em.
For about a hundred bucks including shipping a fella in texas can make em sing like a canary.goes by the alias Nate Kiowa Jones.
I take it you shoot cas?? amy as where?

C'mon guys, I know not everyone out there is shooting an antique Winchester or Marlin. Gimme your two cents worth, good or bad. and while you're at it, any other comments on shooting 45 LC from a lever gun are welcome!

I happen to love the 45lc in a lever gun[:D][:D] makes big holes in things , I had a older Rossi 92 carbine 20" round barrel , that darn rifle could shoot let me tell you!!!! wish I had never sold it but like a dummy i though i needed a Marlin , which happens to be a fine rifle , it just cost twice as much as the Rossi , sounds like the price is very good so I would buy it [8D] 0 -
Well now! if it's a lot of answere ya want,got to our cowboy BB and ask away.You'll have to ignore all the Marlin/Winchester '66 and '73 answers ya get.Those guys are pretttttty opinionated on their "pet" rifles.:)
