AT THIS POINT I AM LOOKING FOR MORE INFO ON THIS PARTICULAR GUN. IT COULD BE DESIRABLE TO A COLLECTOR AND I DON'T WANT TO SHOOT IT MUCH AND I WOULD HATE TO SCRATCH IT UP JUST PACKIN' IT AROUND. WOULD CONSIDER SELLING AND BUYING SOMETHING MORE PRACTICAL FOR PACKING. 0 -
If you are looking for information about a particular Randall, do a search for (Randall Firearms). First topic is history of Randall Pistols, Go to "The Sight M1911-A1" and it will give you more information than any sight I have seen. As a collector of Randalls I can tell you there is minimal interest in these pistols at this time. Current collectors are seeking NIB unfired pistols with all paper work. They tell production dates, numbers of each model made, serial #s, etc. of all 9,968 guns manufactured.
Everything you want to know including (questionable) value.

I hadn't intended to be a collector. A B131 came into the store and being a southpaw I purchased it and the five or six magazines that came in at the same time. I never had a chance to shoot it due to time constraints from school and work. By the time I had a chance to take it out, the company had gone out of business and I just put it away unfired with the box, docs, mags, etc. 0 -
It's the Blue Book of Gun Values by S. P. Fjestad.
Most gun dealers and sporting goods stores that sell guns should have it on the shelf.
Let me know if you can't find one.

Since yours is a right-sider, it's a model A331.
Here's how the Randall models went:
A = Right hand
B = Left hand
C = Right hand lightweight
First digit:
1 = Service model
2 = Service model C or Raider
3 = C.E. LeMay model
2nd digit:
1 = Round top slide w/fixed sight
2 = Flat top slide w/fixed sight
3 = Flat top slide w/adj. sight
3rd digit:
1 = .45ACP
2 = 9mm Para
3 = .38 Super
So, your A331 is a right hand LeMay model with a flat top slide and adjustable sight in .45ACP. 293 of these were made.

THANKS XRACER, YOU'RE EXACTLY RIGHT. I DONT KNOW WHAT THE % RATE WOULD BE . THE GUN HAS BEEN USED, BUT LOOKS TO BE IN GOOD SHAPE OTHERWISE. THE HISTORY LESSON TALKS ABOUT SOME PISTOLS BEING ASSEMBLED OUTSIDE THE FACTORY. DON'T KNOW ABOUT MINE. FURTHER RESEARCH IS REQUIRED. THIS WEBSITE IS LOTSA FUN.
