CLARK and WELLS SHOT GUN ?
A friend of mine has a puzzling gun. It is a side by side 16 GA hammerless boxlock double barrel shot gun with a cheek piece and no markings except a name on the top between the two barrels is marked Clark and Well or Well and Clark. The gun is very light and doesn't look fancy but we are really stumped by this one. Does anyone know anything about this gun?
PS This gun also has a a sling attachment made on the barrel and a place where one was in the stock, On a side X side shot gun!

Open the action and describe the marks on the watertable. Almost certainly a European gun, probably German, with the retailer's name on the rib.
