Benelli M1 Super 90 Questions
I live in California and have a Benelli M1 Super 90 with both the 28" barrel with interchangable chokes and the 18" barrel with sights as well as both standard stock and stock with pistol grip. It has the extended mag with removable plug.
From a post a month or so back, is it now illegal to have the stock with pistol grip and short barrel on at the same time?
Thanks for helping me sort this out.

This is where state and federal laws mix. As far as California is concerned your Benelli is in full compliance in either configuration. The extended tube magazine is not restricted since it holds less than 10 rounds and pistol grips are allowed on semi automatic shotguns as long as they do not have detachable magazines or folding stocks. The Feds on the other hand (over the past decade) have restricted imported shotguns to magazine capacities of 5 rounds PERIOD and you are not allowed to add the extended 8 shot tube to your Benelli.

I might have misunderstood the magazine portion. The magazine is the factory extended. How would an 8 round extension be added.
