Lyman R24 Tang Site

I recently aquired a Lyman R24 tang site. What is it's application? I was hoping for Model 12 Remington but the screw holes are ever so slightly too far apart and the site curvature against the gun frame carries a greater radius. HELP!!

  R24=Remington Model 24 and 241.
