Price check on isle 17 please ...
A aquaintance has a Browning Buckmark with the 7.25" fluted barrel, adjustable sights, rosewood grips I'd rate it a strong 98% - no nicks, dings or wear but 1 grip screw is marred ... apperars practically un-fired but he said he has shot a couple hundred rounds through it ... includes factory adjustable sights, 2 mags owners manual factory soft case ... I'm not sure if its the Standard or Target and the Browning site didn't have a pic of the standard model ... the one I'm looking at is just like this pic but are there other differences I should be aware of?
I checked the current and closed auctions and couldn't find anything like it for a comparison ... Is $300 a good price?

What you are showing is a Browning Buck Mark Bullseye Target with a 7 1/4 inch fluted barrel. If in 98% condition it is well worth $300 as suggested retail is around $625 with wholesale cost around $450. I have one and it is an excellent shooter. If you are not interested in it, I wouldn't mind having another one.[:p]

Hey Kimber, for the same money you could get one of them fantastic CETME's that everyone is raving about- all of them experts! The model in your picture appears to be the Buck Mark Bullseye variation. This came out in late 1995 and was intended for use in metallic siloute shooting. Besides the adjustable rear sight this model also has an adjustable trigger and these pistols are rated by most folks as very accurate. $300 seems a very fair price since retail runs about $600. In the condition you describe I'd be all over this one in a heartbeat. Perhaps you'd be willing to ignore this Browning (I'll take it) and go for that CETME instead?

Be advised the 7.25" fluted barrels were at one time available from Browning for aftermarket purchase.
I had a standard plain vanilla Buckmark with the 5.5" barrel, that I retrofitted with the 7.25 fluted barrel!
You are getting a good deal if it is a factory original Buckmark "Bullseye Target". Not so good if it's just a rebarreled standard model.0 -
I beleive that the standard Buckmark came with composite stocks and the rosewood target stocks shown in the photo retailed for around $90.

You know Mark, it's a tough decision ... all the hullabaloo over the Cetme clowns clones has almost got my curiosity aroused ... I could then join the brotherhood of the Cetme and discover the abomination crafted by Century ... and how to "fix" it ... but I went with the Buckmark ...
Really I should give the Cetme owners a break because it really is cool to see masses of people rally around a particularly cool firearm (and the HK-9X line-up is a personal favorite of mine), and like you said in another post, (I'm paraphrasing here because I can't find the post) "these guns aren't necessarily dangerous, they are just poorly made, and if you don't mind tweaking them they can be made shooters".
rufe-snow: anything in particular I should look for? The trigger is adjustable and the finish on the barrel looks to match the rest of gun perfectly, so I believe it is the Target model and not an up-graded standard ... also the Browning site say's the Target comes with a factory soft case ... not to say it couldn't be an up-graded standard model but he said he paid around $550 for it ... anyway, she has a few of my paw prints on her but here she is:

If it has a adjustable trigger, then there's no doubt in my mind that you have a original "Bullseye Target".
My standard model's trigger wasn't adjustable.0
