I think vanguards were made in Germany,Southgate CA,japan,and
now sommwere up north. How is the quality of the CA production
rifles? Thanks Vince

  Orginal Vanguards were made only by Howa, from Japan.
  Great rifle design. Action is what I would call an Improved Rem 700.
  Southgate, Ca. was Weatherby's orginal address.
