SP45;
You can post info on the gun here. There is a wealth of knowledge and experience to be had. A.H.Fox shotguns,generally, are clearly marked as to model and grade. There are a few exceptions to the rule, of course, regarding a few presentation and award grade guns,but, these are few and far between. Fox-Sterlingsworth, A.H.Fox, Fox,and
Savage-Fox shotguns are,argueably, some of the most researched shotguns around. The books and articles on them is endless. As is, it seems, interest in these shotguns. Just a thought.0 -
Individual shotguns may be researched by providing the serial number (and a fee) to: John Callahan, 53 Old Quarry Road, Westfield, MA 01085.
In the meantime, if you could send pics and describe the markings we'd be happy to help.

I saw an A. H. Fox double at an auction last week that went for under $200. Without a doubt, it was among the nastiest looking guns I've ever seen. The bore was actually black. It was intact and the action seemed ok. I was surprised at the price and thought it might go higher. Didn't bid on it(have a couple of projects going) but, somehow, feel it was a missed opportunity. 0
