    Hi All,
I was looking to buy a CZ75 but have seen a great deal on a CZ40. They look similar but the 40 has an alloy frame while the 75 is steel if I remember correctly. I was told a while back that CZ had problems with the CZ 40 frames cracking. Is this correct? Looking to have it as a house gun but I go to the range regularly for practice so this would be getting quite a few rounds through it every year.

    Thanks as always,
    Greasy

Go to the CZ forum, click on the "CZ40 B Club" which is one of their subforums. Many questions and topics concerning the CZ 40 are addressed here.

I have one and have a very high opinion of it. Same size and grip angle as one of my Commanders. Still based on the venerable CZ 75b action. So far it has been comletely trouble free and only thing I don't care for is the long double action pull. Cure for that is to carry cocked and locked like any of the rest of my 1911s.
