Question for M1A experts...

For a standard m1a, what ring size should I be looking for if I have a 1" 44mm objective scope (it's the Zeiss 4.5-14 Conquest model)? Can I go with low rings? Also, what ring brands are recommended? Are the Springfield ones okay? I don't have gobs of cash to spend, so I'd like to find a ringset for around $50 max. Thanks.

  Yes you can go with the low rings. Weaver makes a nice 1" ring with quick detach spring loaded knobs for abaout $36. I once had a 2nd gen springfield poc I believe had over a 50mm objective and it just bairly cleared with the low rings. Welcome aboard stdM1A.
