M1A?
Hi, I was trying to figure out what the parts are on this gun I just bought Bolt-7790186 66118-EE, Trigger Housing-7267030-HR-N, Safety-H, Hammer-5546008-HR-N, Rear sight-BME, Barrel-Winchester 7790190-May-61-12, OP Rod-7267064-HRA. Are these are GI parts? Is their any other parts I missed. I didn't see any other markings.

I was looking at a used springfield post ban. The dealer said it's a standard model. However it has the NM front sight. I was wondering if this was what they call the loaded standard. If this is a loaded standard, could someone tell me any more specific marking it would have. Like would the barrel be marked or the trigger group. Thanks 0 -
I had real good luck with calling customer service at Springfield, when researching one of their pistols a while back. The lady I talked to was quite helpful, when I described the markings and gave her the serial number.

A "loaded" M1A would have a new walnut stock, Medium national match barrel (stainless steel or carbon- depending on the package and cost), NM flash suppressor, NM trigger group, NM front and rear sights (no hood on the rear) and they used to include a coupon allowing you to purchase accessories at a discount. I don't know if that program is still in effect. The rifles themselves are not marked "loaded" so you'd have to check the box or the original paper work. A standard model M1A with a NM front sight is simply a standard rifle which had the NM blade added- an easy change.
