    It appears that you have a S & W "Model No. 1 Second Issue Revolver". Over 100,000 of this particular model were made by S & W, during and after the Civil War, circa 1860/68.
    The value is determined by collector demand and the amount of factory original condition remaining.
    Since you havn't given us any indication of the condition of the revolver it's hard to put a value on it?
    The current B B has a range of $500 to $1000 for ORIGINAL CONDITION Second Issues in good to excellent condition respectively.

    I have one going to a large auction of "old" guns on May 30. I'll let you know what it brings. I have a $250.00 reserve on it.
