Too many variables here. Is it ALL Underwood, or how much is mixmatched? Post-war rebuild? Import marked?

The condition makes it barely collectible. I estimate that it would sell in the $300-500 range.

Joe, are you looking to sell this rifle? I was with a few of your friends Wednesday at Old Bridge (thought you might be there) and he really liked the M1 you sold him. Email me if you wish.

Thence into the carbine forums. Myers is daft about its collectability, mostly, but good on the value. The guys at either of the above sites will welcome you and help you. They'll want to know every marking on it though. They'll ask about stampings on the stock as well. 99% of all carbines were rebuilt at some time in their carreer. If it ever came to pass that I had to fight with a rifle, my first choice would be my carbine and it's not a USGI. No ball ammo though.
