Ruger Blackhawk assembly help
Hey guys I need your help!! I recently bought a used Ruger Blackhawk and went to clean it there was lithum grease all over the internal parts so I took the handle assembly off, took the hammer and trigger out and cleaned it up nicely. I put all the pieces back together in the frame and all worked properly. So next I put on the handle (with a bit of effort) and the hammer cocks but the trigger won't release it. It won't fire. Any ideas what I did wrong? Is there a trick to reattaching the handle to the frame? I didn't have any parts left over after reassembly. Any help will be very much appreciated!

Sorry not to be more specific-but I think that you have a spring pinched somewhere. These revolvers are really pretty simple to assemble-dis-assemble.. Take it back apart, and try again. You should not have to force anything.

If you don't have a manual to reference, then here's a link to Ruger's site. You'll need adobe acrobat to read 'em however. http://ruger-firearms.com/Firearms/SE-InstructManualsR.html

madness522-How'd it go? Did you get it together? If you are still having trouble, I'll go out and dis-assemble one of mine to see if I can duplicate the problem. Let us Know!
