CTME & HK91 Questions
Will the CTME & HK91 .308 magazines interchange?- Just bought a CTME, but only have 1 magazine.

In theory the Cetme should take both. Unfortunately, Century varies in their manufacturing of receivers. I'd try some, 4 or 5, HK mags & see if they work.

I was told that the H&K would take both but that the CETME could only use its own mags. This would make sense as the H&K came after the CETME and they would design it to use any mag out there but their's would not work in the older guns.

G-3 mags will work in a CETME, they just won't work well, it seems that the straight body design of the G-3 mag presents too much pressure against the bolt carrier of the CETME, causing failures to feed. These are G-3 mags-
What I don't know is if CETME mags will work "OK" in a G-3, but, the correct mag for the CETME is a CETME mag. It has a slight curve to the body as seen below-

they have a whole forum dedicated to the CETME and will provide you with a wealth of information. I recently bought a cetme and have 3 HK mags. They fit, but are a little tight. Its a real crap shoot with these guns. I've heard from some people that the HK mags work better than the CETME mags and I've heard the opposite from others. Each and every one of these guns has a completely different personality and its up to you to find out what works best. I guess thats part of the folowing that these guns have now.
